Life CoachingWhat Is It?
|
|
|
|
"Behind every champion is a great coach."
I'm sure you're familiar with athletic coaching, and you've probably even had an athletic coach at some point. But I bet you've also had coaches in other areas of our life, you just might not have called them that. It could have been a mentor at work, or a good friend whose advice you sought, or a member of your church who gave you spiritual guidance. Whoever it was, there was something about that person that was special to you. Maybe it was their encouragement, their wisdom, their advice; maybe it was their guidance, their example, their experience; or maybe it was some combination of all of those things.
Life Coaching is the application of all of those assets to your personal development and growth.
Coaching will help you:
| 1. |
Get clarity on what you want and why you want it |
| 2. |
Get results and achieve your goals easier and faster |
| 3. |
Maximize fulfillment and feel fully aliveachieving goals is hollow without a feeling of fulfillment |
| 4. |
Discover your life purpose or mission |
| 5. |
Challenge yourself to keep growing |
| 6. |
Achieve balance in your lifeall areas of your life are integrated |

When you work with a coach, you work with an ally. You are part of a team, and you benefit from that team synergy. But here's the really exciting part. You are the center of focus. Your goals and only your goals are the team's goals. You set the agenda.
As your coach I will use all of my assets to help you achieve the life of your dreams. It is my honor to serve you.
I believe that once you experience a coaching session, you will recognize its value. But everyone is unique and theres no such thing as one-size-fits-all when it comes to personal development. So if you want to find out if coaching is right for you, schedule a complimentary telephone consultation and then decide for yourself.

How Is Coaching Different from Therapy? |
|
|
|
A coach is not a therapist. I am not trained to diagnose or treat psychological disorders. With coaching, the emphasis will be on action, not feeling. Of course, feeling is related to action. Feeling motivates action, and we take action because of how it makes us feel. But chronic and serious emotional challenges are not the realm of coaching. If you suspect you suffer from depression, schizophrenia, or any other mental illness, please talk to a mental health professional. These are challenges you should not try to face alone.
